Tina Lawson Bio

Tina Kash Lawson was born in Middletown, Ohio in 1961 to Barb and Shelby Kash.  Tina’s roots in gospel music run deep, because her dad was part of the Daulton Family, who has been preaching and singing gospel music for the past 100 years.  She started singing at the age of three, and by age 12 she was singing with several local gospel artists. Tina sang quite often on WPFB for Cliff Hutchison and Don O’haire’s gospel shows.  In her twenties, she sang lead for a group called Christian Cavaliers, who recorded one project together.  In her 30s and 40s, she started a group with her cousin, his wife and her daughter, Jennifer, called Gospel Tradition.  They recorded three projects together.  Before long, the group lineup changed with all of Tina’s daughters joining the group, while her cousin Jim, took a pastorate position and left the group, along with his wife.  All of Tina’s daughters could play instruments and sing, so they recorded three projects and traveled spreading the Gospel in song every weekend.  In her 50s, Tina was the lead singer for the group Imagine That, recording one project together.  Recently, the baritone for Imagine That accepted the position of pastor of a church in Kentucky, so they disbanded the group.  Tina currently is lead/alto singer for PROFITT.  Jim, Tina and Bryan have been blessed to continue to sing and preach the Word wherever they go.  She attends Poasttown First Church of God as a worship team member when she’s not on the road.  She is married to Russ Lawson and they have seven children and ten grandchildren.  Tina is so blessed to be able to sing for the Lord until He comes back to take her home.
